Perfect for parties, school events, or cozy family gatherings, these cupcakes are as cute as they are delicious.

Ingredients

For the Snowman Toppers:

  • 24 Double Stuff Golden Oreos
  • 2 (10 oz) packages Ghirardelli white melting wafers
  • Black sugar pearl sprinkles (for eyes and buttons)
  • Orange Tic Tacs (for noses)
  • Twizzlers Pull n Peel candy (cut into 2–2.5-inch pieces and pulled apart for scarves)
  • 60 peppermint candies

For the Cupcakes:

  • 1 box Betty Crocker White Cake mix
  • Ingredients listed on the box (eggs, oil, and water)

For the White Chocolate Frosting:

  • 2 sticks (1 cup) unsalted butter, softened to room temperature
  • ¾ cup Ghirardelli premium white chocolate chips
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 12 tablespoons heavy whipping cream
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • ⅛ teaspoon salt (optional, to balance sweetness)
  • Chopped peppermint candies (optional garnish)

Instructions

1. Make the Cupcakes:

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  • Prepare the Betty Crocker white cake mix according to the box instructions.
  • Divide the batter evenly into cupcake liners, filling each about ⅔ full.
  • Bake for 18–22 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Let the cupcakes cool completely on a wire rack.

2. Make the White Chocolate Frosting:

  • Melt the white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl, heating in 20-second intervals and stirring until smooth. Let it cool slightly.
  • In a large bowl, beat the softened butter with a hand or stand mixer until creamy.
  • Add the melted white chocolate to the butter and mix until fully combined.
  • Gradually mix in the powdered sugar, heavy whipping cream, vanilla extract, and salt (if using). Adjust the consistency with more cream if needed.

3. Assemble the Snowman Toppers:

  • Melt the Ghirardelli white melting wafers according to the package instructions.
  • Dip the Double Stuff Golden Oreos into the melted white chocolate, coating them fully. Place the coated Oreos on a parchment-lined tray.
  • Decorate each Oreo with black sugar pearls for the eyes and buttons, an orange Tic Tac for the nose, and a Twizzler piece as the scarf.
  • Let the decorated Oreos set completely until the chocolate hardens.

4. Decorate the Cupcakes:

  • Frost the cooled cupcakes generously with the white chocolate frosting. Use a piping bag for a polished look or a spatula for a simple finish.
  • Sprinkle chopped peppermint candies on top for a festive touch (optional).
  • Place a peppermint candy in the center of each cupcake and top it with a snowman Oreo.

5. Serve and Enjoy:

  • Arrange the cupcakes on a holiday platter and watch as they bring smiles to everyone at your celebration!
