Description
A delightful Apple Butter Cheesecake that combines the rich flavors of cream cheese and apple butter, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cups cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup apple butter
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour (optional, for thicker texture)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 325°F. Grease a 9-inch springform pan.
- In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs and melted butter. Mix until well combined. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared springform pan to form the crust.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy.
- Gradually add the granulated sugar and continue to beat until well combined. Mix in the vanilla extract.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing on low speed after each addition until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Stir in the apple butter, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, salt, and flour (if using) until fully incorporated.
- Pour the cheesecake batter over the crust in the springform pan. Smooth the top with a spatula.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until the center is set but still slightly jiggly. Turn off the oven and leave the cheesecake inside for 1 hour to cool gradually.
- Remove the cheesecake from the oven and let it cool to room temperature. Once cooled, refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving.
- Carefully remove the sides of the springform pan. Slice and serve chilled.
Notes
- For a spiced version, add ½ teaspoon of ground ginger or cloves to the batter.
- Top the cheesecake with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon or additional apple butter for extra flavor and presentation.
