Bang Bang Chicken Sliders are the perfect combination of crispy fried chicken, creamy and zesty Bang Bang sauce, and fresh toppings, all sandwiched in soft slider buns. These crowd-pleasing mini sandwiches are ideal for parties, game days, or indulgent family dinners.


Ingredients

For the Chicken:

  • Boneless, skinless chicken breasts – 2 lbs
  • Buttermilk – 1 cup
  • Garlic powder – 1 teaspoon
  • Onion powder – 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika – 1 teaspoon
  • Salt – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper – 1/2 teaspoon
  • All-purpose flour – 1 cup
  • Panko breadcrumbs – 1 cup
  • Vegetable oil – For frying

For the Bang Bang Sauce:

  • Mayonnaise – 1/2 cup
  • Sweet chili sauce – 1/4 cup
  • Sriracha sauce – 2 tablespoons
  • Honey – 1 tablespoon
  • Lime juice – 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic powder – 1 teaspoon

For the Sliders:

  • Mini slider buns – 12
  • Shredded lettuce – 1 cup
  • Thinly sliced red onion – 1/2 cup
  • Pickles (optional) – 1/2 cup
  • Fresh cilantro (optional) – For garnish

Instructions

  • Marinate the Chicken
    • Cut chicken breasts into slider-sized pieces.
    • Mix buttermilk, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper in a large bowl.
    • Submerge chicken in the buttermilk mixture. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight.
  • Prepare the Bang Bang Sauce
    • Combine mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, honey, lime juice, and garlic powder in a bowl.
    • Stir until smooth and adjust sweetness or spiciness to taste.
  • Fry the Chicken
    • Combine flour and panko breadcrumbs in a shallow dish.
    • Remove chicken from the marinade, letting excess drip off, and coat with the breadcrumb mixture.
    • Heat oil in a skillet or deep fryer to 350°F (175°C).
    • Fry chicken in batches for 3-4 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Drain on paper towels.
  • Assemble the Sliders
    • Toast slider buns lightly.
    • Spread Bang Bang sauce on the bottom half of each bun.
    • Add fried chicken, shredded lettuce, red onion, and pickles (if desired).
    • Garnish with fresh cilantro and top with the other half of the bun.
