Description
A delicious recipe for Bourbon Peach Glazed Salmon that combines sweet and savory flavors for a delightful meal.
Ingredients
- 2 salmon fillets (about 6 ounces each)
- 1 cup fresh peaches, diced
- 1/4 cup bourbon
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your grill or oven broiler to medium-high heat. If using a grill, lightly oil the grates to prevent sticking.
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the diced peaches, bourbon, honey, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, and black pepper. Bring to a simmer and cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the peaches soften and the sauce thickens slightly. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Brush the salmon fillets with olive oil and season with a pinch of salt and pepper.
- Place the salmon on the grill or under the broiler. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
- During the last minute of cooking, brush the bourbon peach glaze generously over the salmon fillets.
- Remove the salmon from the grill or broiler and let it rest for a couple of minutes. Drizzle any remaining glaze over the top and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the glaze.
- Substitute the peaches with mango or pineapple for a tropical twist.
