Description

Broccoli Cheese Patties are a delicious and healthy snack made with fresh broccoli, cheese, and spices, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh broccoli florets, chopped
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. Steam the chopped broccoli florets for about 5 minutes until tender. Drain and let cool slightly.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the steamed broccoli, cheddar cheese, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, eggs, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Form the mixture into small patties, about 2-3 inches in diameter.
  4. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the patties in batches, cooking for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Remove the patties from the skillet and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to absorb excess oil.
  6. Serve warm, garnished with additional cheese or a dollop of sour cream if desired.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add 1/4 teaspoon of red pepper flakes to the mixture.
  • Substitute the cheddar cheese with mozzarella or feta for a different flavor profile.
