Indulge in this decadent Caramel Brownie Cheesecake, a delightful combination of rich brownie and creamy cheesecake topped with luscious caramel.
Ingredients
- 1 box (18.3 oz) brownie mix
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup caramel sauce, divided
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the brownie mix, vegetable oil, 2 eggs, and water. Stir until well blended. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared springform pan and spread evenly.
- In another bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Add the granulated sugar, vanilla extract, 2 eggs, sour cream, and salt. Mix until creamy and well combined.
- Pour the cream cheese mixture over the brownie layer in the springform pan. Drizzle half of the caramel sauce over the cream cheese layer.
- Pour the remaining brownie batter over the cream cheese layer, spreading it gently to cover. Swirl a knife through the layers to create a marbled effect.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the center is set and a toothpick inserted comes out clean. If using chocolate chips, sprinkle them on top during the last 10 minutes of baking.
- Remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for about 30 minutes. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight for best results.
- Before serving, drizzle the remaining caramel sauce over the top of the cheesecake.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, add 1/2 cup of chopped nuts to the brownie batter.
- Substitute the caramel sauce with chocolate ganache for a chocolate lover’s twist.
