Description

Indulge in this decadent Caramel Brownie Cheesecake, a delightful combination of rich brownie and creamy cheesecake topped with luscious caramel.


Ingredients

  • 1 box (18.3 oz) brownie mix
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup caramel sauce, divided
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the brownie mix, vegetable oil, 2 eggs, and water. Stir until well blended. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared springform pan and spread evenly.
  3. In another bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Add the granulated sugar, vanilla extract, 2 eggs, sour cream, and salt. Mix until creamy and well combined.
  4. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the brownie layer in the springform pan. Drizzle half of the caramel sauce over the cream cheese layer.
  5. Pour the remaining brownie batter over the cream cheese layer, spreading it gently to cover. Swirl a knife through the layers to create a marbled effect.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the center is set and a toothpick inserted comes out clean. If using chocolate chips, sprinkle them on top during the last 10 minutes of baking.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for about 30 minutes. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight for best results.
  8. Before serving, drizzle the remaining caramel sauce over the top of the cheesecake.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, add 1/2 cup of chopped nuts to the brownie batter.
  • Substitute the caramel sauce with chocolate ganache for a chocolate lover’s twist.
