Ingredients
- 1 lb chicken tenders
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
- 1 cup Ritz crackers (crushed)
- ½ cup Parmesan cheese (grated)
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp onion powder
Instructions
- Prepare the Oven and Baking Sheet
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it to prevent sticking.
- Make the Coating
- In a resealable plastic bag, crush the Ritz crackers using a rolling pin until they’re fine crumbs. Transfer the crumbs to a bowl.
- Add the grated Parmesan cheese, ranch seasoning mix, garlic powder, and onion powder to the bowl. Mix well.
- Prepare the Chicken
- In a separate bowl, combine the mayonnaise with a tablespoon of water to thin it slightly. This will help the coating adhere to the chicken.
- Coat the Chicken Tenders
- Dip each chicken tender into the mayonnaise, ensuring it’s fully coated.
- Roll the chicken tender in the cracker mixture, pressing gently to ensure the coating sticks.
- Arrange on Baking Sheet
- Place the coated chicken tenders on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each piece for even cooking.
- Bake the Chicken Tenders
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20–25 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked and the coating is golden brown. Use a meat thermometer to check that the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Serve and Enjoy
- Remove the tenders from the oven and let them rest for 2–3 minutes. Serve with your favorite dipping sauces, such as ranch dressing, barbecue sauce, or honey mustard.
Notes
- To make this recipe even crispier, spray the chicken tenders lightly with cooking spray before baking.
- You can substitute panko breadcrumbs or cornflakes for Ritz crackers if you prefer.
- For a spicy kick, add ½ teaspoon of cayenne pepper or chili powder to the cracker mixture.
