Description

A delicious and easy-to-make Creamy Banana Dream Pie that combines a buttery graham cracker crust with layers of banana and vanilla pudding, topped with whipped cream.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
  • ⅓ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 (3.4 oz) package instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 ripe bananas, sliced
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, granulated sugar, and melted butter. Mix until well combined.
  3. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie pan.
  4. Bake for 8-10 minutes until golden brown. Remove from the oven and let cool completely.
  5. In a large bowl, whisk together the milk, instant vanilla pudding mix, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract until smooth. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until it thickens.
  6. Once the crust is cool, layer half of the sliced bananas on the bottom.
  7. Pour half of the pudding mixture over the bananas, then add the remaining bananas and top with the rest of the pudding mixture.
  8. In a separate bowl, beat the heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
  9. Spread the whipped cream over the top of the pie.
  10. Chill the pie in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving to allow it to set properly.
