Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas, peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk (or any milk of your choice)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional, adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup ice cubes

Instructions

  1. In a blender, combine the sliced bananas, almond milk, lemon juice, grated ginger, honey or maple syrup, and vanilla extract.
  2. Blend on high speed until smooth and creamy, about 30 seconds.
  3. Add the ice cubes and blend again until the ice is crushed and the smoothie is chilled.
  4. Taste and adjust sweetness if necessary by adding more honey or maple syrup.
  5. Pour into glasses and serve immediately.
