Ingredients
- 2 ripe bananas, peeled and sliced
- 1 cup unsweetened almond milk (or any milk of your choice)
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional, adjust to taste)
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup ice cubes
Instructions
- In a blender, combine the sliced bananas, almond milk, lemon juice, grated ginger, honey or maple syrup, and vanilla extract.
- Blend on high speed until smooth and creamy, about 30 seconds.
- Add the ice cubes and blend again until the ice is crushed and the smoothie is chilled.
- Taste and adjust sweetness if necessary by adding more honey or maple syrup.
- Pour into glasses and serve immediately.
Notes
- For a thicker smoothie, freeze the banana slices beforehand.
- You can also add a handful of spinach or kale for extra nutrients without altering the flavor significantly.
- For a protein boost, consider adding a scoop of your favorite protein powder.
