Description

A creamy and delicious pasta dish featuring tender chicken and vibrant broccoli, perfect for a comforting meal.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups penne pasta
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the penne pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chicken pieces, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Cook until the chicken is browned and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes.
  3. Add the broccoli florets to the skillet with the chicken and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, until the broccoli is tender but still bright green.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream, chicken broth, and Italian seasoning. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer. Allow to cook for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  5. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and well combined. Add the cooked penne pasta to the skillet and toss to coat in the creamy sauce.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with chopped fresh parsley.

Notes

  • For added flavor, consider marinating the chicken in lemon juice and herbs for 30 minutes before cooking.
  • You can substitute the broccoli with other vegetables like spinach or peas for a different twist.
