Description

When you’re looking for a meal that’s both elegant and comforting, this Creamy Garlic and Lemon Chicken Breast is the perfect choice. With juicy chicken, a tangy lemon-garlic sauce, and simple ingredients, this dish comes together in just 30 minutes and is sure to impress your family or guests.

Ingredients

  • 3 chicken breasts
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 45 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 cup chicken broth or water

Instructions

1. Prepare the Chicken

  • Pat the chicken breasts dry and season both sides with salt and black pepper.

2. Sear the Chicken

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add the chicken breasts and sear for 5–7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

3. Sauté the Aromatics

  • In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  • Add minced garlic and finely chopped onion, cooking until the onion becomes soft and translucent, about 5 minutes.

4. Create the Sauce

  • Pour in the lemon juice and chicken broth (or water), stirring to combine.
  • Simmer for 5 minutes to let the flavors meld and the sauce slightly reduce.

5. Combine and Cook

  • Return the seared chicken breasts to the skillet.
  • Spoon the sauce over the chicken, reduce the heat to low, and let simmer for 5–10 minutes until heated through and the sauce thickens slightly.

6. Serve

  • Serve the chicken hot, garnished with fresh herbs if desired. Pair it with sides like mashed potatoes, rice, or sautéed vegetables for a complete meal.

Notes

  • Use fresh lemon juice for the best flavor.
  • For a richer sauce, stir in ½ cup of heavy cream or coconut milk.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently to maintain the sauce’s consistency.
