Ingredients

  • 1 pound beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 1 medium green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 medium red bell pepper, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 4 hoagie rolls
  • 8 ounces provolone cheese, sliced

Instructions

  1. Place the sliced beef, onion, green bell pepper, red bell pepper, and garlic in the crockpot.
  2. Season with salt, black pepper, oregano, and Worcestershire sauce.
  3. Pour the beef broth over the top.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours until the beef is tender.
  5. Once cooked, stir the mixture and taste for seasoning, adjusting if necessary.
  6. To serve, split the hoagie rolls and fill them with the beef and vegetable mixture.
  7. Top each sandwich with slices of provolone cheese.
