Ingredients
- 1 pound beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 1 medium green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 medium red bell pepper, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup beef broth
- 4 hoagie rolls
- 8 ounces provolone cheese, sliced
Instructions
- Place the sliced beef, onion, green bell pepper, red bell pepper, and garlic in the crockpot.
- Season with salt, black pepper, oregano, and Worcestershire sauce.
- Pour the beef broth over the top.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours until the beef is tender.
- Once cooked, stir the mixture and taste for seasoning, adjusting if necessary.
- To serve, split the hoagie rolls and fill them with the beef and vegetable mixture.
- Top each sandwich with slices of provolone cheese.
- If desired, place the filled sandwiches under a broiler for 2-3 minutes to melt the cheese and toast the rolls slightly.
