- 20 oz Simply Potatoes (pre-shredded for convenience)
- ¾ cup milk (1% or your preferred variety)
- ¾ cup whipping cream (for added richness)

- Generous dash of pepper (to taste)
- Generous dash of nutmeg (adds warmth)

Instructions
- Prepare the Casserole Dish
- Butter an 8×8-inch casserole dish generously to prevent sticking.
- Spread the entire bag of Simply Potatoes evenly in the dish.
- Create the Cheese Sauce
- In a medium saucepan, combine milk, whipping cream, salt, dry mustard, pepper, and nutmeg.
- Cook over medium-high heat, whisking continuously until the mixture is almost boiling.
- Reduce the heat and stir in the shredded cheddar cheese. Whisk until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.
- Combine Potatoes and Sauce
- Pour the creamy cheese sauce evenly over the potatoes in the casserole dish.
- Allow the mixture to cool slightly before refrigerating to help it set.
- Add the Toppings
- Dot the top with slices of butter and sprinkle generously with paprika.
- Cover the dish tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 12 hours or overnight.
