Perfect for snacking, gifting, or sharing at a party, this recipe is as versatile as it is satisfying.

Ingredients

  • 80 g / 2.8 oz hazelnuts
  • 80 g / 2.8 oz almonds
  • 100 g / 3.5 oz peanuts
  • 50 g / 1.7 oz pecans
  • 1 tbsp sunflower seeds
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 1 tbsp pumpkin seeds
  • 2 tbsp honey (or maple syrup for a vegan-friendly option)
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil (optional)
  • Zest of one orange
  • 150 g / 5.3 oz dark chocolate (unsweetened)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Nuts and Seeds

  • Roughly chop the hazelnuts, almonds, peanuts, and pecans.
  • Place the chopped nuts in a large bowl.
  • Add the sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, and pumpkin seeds to the bowl. Stir well to mix all the ingredients.

2. Melt the Chocolate

  • In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the dark chocolate in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval until fully melted.
  • Add the coconut oil (if using) to the melted chocolate and stir until smooth.

3. Combine Ingredients

  • Pour the melted chocolate over the nuts and seeds mixture.
  • Add the honey (or maple syrup) and the orange zest.
  • Stir thoroughly to ensure the nuts and seeds are evenly coated in the chocolate.

4. Form the Clusters

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Using a spoon, drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto the parchment paper.
  • Gently press each spoonful to form compact clusters.

5. Chill and Serve

  • Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for about 20 minutes, or until the clusters are firm.
  • Once set, transfer the clusters to an airtight container for storage or serve immediately.

Notes

  • Substitute honey with maple syrup for a fully vegan version.
  • Use high-quality dark chocolate with at least 70% cocoa for the best flavor.
  • These clusters store well in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks in an airtight container.
