Ingredients
- 80 g / 2.8 oz hazelnuts
- 80 g / 2.8 oz almonds
- 100 g / 3.5 oz peanuts
- 50 g / 1.7 oz pecans
- 1 tbsp sunflower seeds
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
- 1 tbsp pumpkin seeds
- 2 tbsp honey (or maple syrup for a vegan-friendly option)
- 2 tbsp coconut oil (optional)
- Zest of one orange
- 150 g / 5.3 oz dark chocolate (unsweetened)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Nuts and Seeds
- Roughly chop the hazelnuts, almonds, peanuts, and pecans.
- Place the chopped nuts in a large bowl.
- Add the sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, and pumpkin seeds to the bowl. Stir well to mix all the ingredients.
2. Melt the Chocolate
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the dark chocolate in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval until fully melted.
- Add the coconut oil (if using) to the melted chocolate and stir until smooth.
3. Combine Ingredients
- Pour the melted chocolate over the nuts and seeds mixture.
- Add the honey (or maple syrup) and the orange zest.
- Stir thoroughly to ensure the nuts and seeds are evenly coated in the chocolate.
4. Form the Clusters
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Using a spoon, drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto the parchment paper.
- Gently press each spoonful to form compact clusters.
5. Chill and Serve
- Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for about 20 minutes, or until the clusters are firm.
- Once set, transfer the clusters to an airtight container for storage or serve immediately.
