A delicious and easy recipe for Eggs Benedict Casserole, perfect for brunch or a hearty breakfast.
Ingredients
- 8 large eggs
- 2 cups milk
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/2 cup cooked and crumbled bacon or Canadian bacon
- 1 cup English muffins, torn into pieces
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley (optional)
- 1 cup hollandaise sauce (store-bought or homemade)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and thyme until well combined.
- Stir in the crumbled bacon or Canadian bacon, torn English muffins, and half of the shredded cheddar cheese. Mix until everything is evenly coated.
- Pour the egg mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it out evenly.
- Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the eggs are set and the top is golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool for about 5 minutes. Drizzle hollandaise sauce over the top and garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
- Cut into squares and serve warm.
Notes
- For a vegetarian option, substitute the bacon with sautéed spinach or mushrooms.
- Add diced tomatoes or bell peppers for extra flavor and color.
