Brighten up your holiday season with these Festive Cornflake Christmas Wreath Treats! These no-bake, chewy, and crispy treats are shaped like holiday wreaths and decorated with red candies to mimic holly berries. Quick to make and perfect for family fun, they’ll add festive cheer to any gathering.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 30 large marshmallows
  • Green gel food coloring (as needed for vibrant green color)
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 5 cups cornflakes
  • ½ cup red mini M&M’s (or any small red candies for decoration)
  • Cooking spray (for shaping the cookies)

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare Your Workspace

  • Lay parchment paper on a baking sheet or countertop for your cooling surface.
  • Lightly spray your hands or a spoon with cooking spray to prevent sticking when shaping the wreaths.

Step 2: Melt Butter and Marshmallows

  • In a large pot, melt the butter over low heat.
  • Add the marshmallows and stir continuously until they are fully melted and smooth.

Step 3: Add Color and Flavor

  • Remove the pot from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
  • Gradually add green gel food coloring, stirring until the mixture reaches your desired shade of green.

Step 4: Incorporate the Cornflakes

  • Gently fold the cornflakes into the melted marshmallow mixture, ensuring all the flakes are evenly coated.

Step 5: Shape the Wreaths

  • Use a spoon or your greased hands to scoop small portions of the mixture onto the parchment paper.
  • Shape each portion into a circle, leaving a hole in the center to resemble a wreath. Press lightly to hold the shape.

Step 6: Decorate with Red M&M’s

  • While the wreaths are still slightly warm, press red mini M&M’s onto each one to resemble holly berries. Get creative with the placement!

Step 7: Let Them Set

  • Allow the wreaths to cool completely at room temperature until firm.
  • Once set, carefully remove them from the parchment paper and store them in an airtight container.
