Ingredients

Indulge in the flavors of the coast with this rich and creamy Florida Shrimp Pie. Packed with tender shrimp, smooth cream cheese, and a flaky golden crust, this dish is an effortless yet impressive way to bring seaside comfort to your table. Whether for brunch, dinner, or entertaining guests, this seafood pie is sure to become a favorite!

Instructions

  1. Preheat & Prep Crust: Place a cookie sheet on the middle oven rack and preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Let the frozen pie crust thaw for 10-20 minutes, then prick the bottom and sides with a fork to prevent air bubbles. Bake for 9-11 minutes until lightly golden, then set aside.
  2. Prepare the Filling: In a medium mixing bowl, beat the chive-and-onion cream cheese until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, whisking after each to fully incorporate. Fold in chopped shrimp and shredded Pepper Jack cheese until evenly mixed.
  3. Assemble & Bake: Pour the mixture into the pre-baked crust, smoothing the top. Bake for 30-35 minutes until the center is set and the top is lightly golden. Let the pie stand for 15 minutes before slicing.

Notes

  • Pre-baking the crust helps prevent sogginess.
  • Ensure shrimp is well-drained before adding to the mixture.
  • For a spicier version, add a pinch of cayenne or Old Bay seasoning.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
