Description

Ingredients

  • 2 cups water
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 4 large eggs

  • Vegetable oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine water, butter, and salt. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
  2. Once boiling, remove from heat and stir in the flour until a smooth dough forms.
  3. Allow the dough to cool for about 5 minutes, then add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract and cinnamon if using.
  4. Transfer the dough to a piping bag fitted with a star tip.

  6. Pipe 4-inch rings onto parchment paper or directly into the hot oil, frying a few at a time. Fry for about 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.
