Imagine biting into a warm, crispy sandwich with a creamy cheesecake filling and sweet, juicy strawberries bursting with flavor. Fried Strawberry Cheesecake Sandwiches are the ultimate treat for dessert lovers—crispy, indulgent, and filled with layers of creamy and fruity goodness. Whether you’re having a cozy night in or impressing guests at a gathering, this dessert is sure to steal the show.

Ingredients

For the Cheesecake Filling:

  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp heavy cream (or milk)
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon (optional)

For the Sandwiches:

  • 8 slices white or brioche bread
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries (diced)
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp butter (softened)

For Frying:

  • 2 cups vegetable oil (for frying)
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ tsp cinnamon (optional)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Cheesecake Filling
    • In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and heavy cream. Use a hand mixer or whisk to beat the mixture until smooth and creamy.
    • Add ¼ tsp of cinnamon if desired for extra flavor. Set aside.
  • Prepare the Strawberry Filling
    • In a small bowl, mix diced strawberries with 2 tbsp of granulated sugar. Stir well and let sit for about 10 minutes to release their juices.
  • Assemble the Sandwiches
    • Lay out 4 slices of bread. Spread a generous amount of the cheesecake filling onto each slice.
    • Top with a spoonful of the sugared strawberries.
    • Place the remaining 4 slices of bread on top to form sandwiches.
    • Lightly butter the outside of each sandwich to help them crisp up during frying.
  • Fry the Sandwiches
    • Heat 2 cups of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat, aiming for 350°F (175°C).
    • Test the oil by dropping in a small piece of bread—if it sizzles immediately, it’s ready.
    • Carefully place the sandwiches in the hot oil. Fry for 2–3 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy. Press gently on the sandwiches to ensure even frying.
  • Coat the Sandwiches
    • While the sandwiches are frying, mix ¼ cup granulated sugar with ½ tsp cinnamon in a shallow bowl.
    • Once the sandwiches are fried, remove them from the oil and immediately coat them in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  • Serve and Enjoy
    • Slice the sandwiches in half or quarters and serve warm.
    • For extra indulgence, top with whipped cream or more fresh strawberries.

Notes

  • Use Fresh Strawberries: Fresh, ripe strawberries give the best flavor and texture.
  • Maintain Oil Temperature: Keep the oil at 350°F for even frying. If it’s too hot, the sandwiches might burn; too cool, and they will absorb excess oil.
  • Customize the Bread: Brioche adds a rich, buttery flavor, but regular white bread works just as well.
