Description
Fudgy Chewy Browkies (Brookies) are a delicious combination of brownies and cookie dough, creating an irresistible treat that is perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup cookie dough (store-bought or homemade)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9-inch baking pan.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, combine the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Mix until well combined. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, stirring until smooth.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Spread half of the brownie batter evenly in the prepared baking pan. Drop spoonfuls of cookie dough over the brownie layer, then spread the remaining brownie batter on top, covering the cookie dough.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Be careful not to overbake.
- Allow the browkies to cool in the pan for at least 15 minutes before cutting into squares.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, try adding a teaspoon of espresso powder to the brownie batter.
- You can substitute the semi-sweet chocolate chips with white chocolate chips or nuts for added texture.
