Description

These Garlic Butter Steak and Potato Foil Packs are packed with juicy sirloin steak, tender baby potatoes, and a savory garlic butter herb blend — all wrapped up and cooked to perfection. Whether grilled or baked, this no-fuss dinner is full of flavor and makes cleanup a breeze!

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes

  • 1 pound baby potatoes, halved

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary

  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prep the Steak and Potatoes
Cut the steak into 1-inch cubes and halve the baby potatoes. Place both in a large mixing bowl.

  2. Make the Garlic Butter
In a separate bowl, mix melted butter, minced garlic, rosemary, thyme, salt, pepper, and olive oil until well combined.

  3. Toss to Coat
Pour the garlic butter mixture over the steak and potatoes. Toss until everything is evenly coated.

  4. Assemble Foil Packs
Cut four sheets of aluminum foil (about 12×12 inches each). Divide the mixture evenly between the sheets and fold tightly into sealed packets.

  5. Cook the Foil Packs

    • Grill: Preheat grill to medium-high and cook foil packs for 20–25 minutes.

    • Oven: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and bake for 25 minutes on a baking sheet.

  6. Serve
Carefully open the foil packs (watch for steam) and garnish with chopped fresh parsley. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

  • Meat Variations: Try ribeye, flank steak, or even chicken for a twist.

  • Add Veggies: Bell peppers, mushrooms, and zucchini make great additions.

  • Prep Ahead: Assemble foil packs up to 24 hours in advance and store in the fridge.

  • Check Doneness: Use a meat thermometer to ensure steak is cooked to your preference.

  • Caution with Steam: Always open foil packs slowly and away from your face to avoid burns.
