Description
A delicious recipe for glazed honey balsamic pork chops that combines sweet and tangy flavors for a delightful meal.
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 boneless pork chops (about 1 inch thick)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season the pork chops with salt and pepper on both sides. Once the oil is hot, add the pork chops to the skillet and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 145°F). Remove the pork chops from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the balsamic vinegar, honey, minced garlic, Dijon mustard, dried thyme, and red pepper flakes (if using). Stir to combine and bring the mixture to a simmer. Cook for about 3-4 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened slightly.
- Return the pork chops to the skillet, spooning the glaze over them. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the pork chops to absorb the flavors of the glaze.
- Remove from heat and let the pork chops rest for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
- For a sweeter glaze, increase the honey to 1/3 cup.
- Serve with roasted vegetables or a side salad for a complete meal.
