Description

Delicious grilled chicken thighs marinated in a sweet and spicy honey buffalo sauce.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup hot sauce (such as Frank’s RedHot)
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for extra heat)
  • Chopped green onions or parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together honey, hot sauce, melted butter, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper until well combined.
  2. Add the chicken thighs to the marinade, ensuring they are fully coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or up to 4 hours for more flavor.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Remove the chicken from the marinade and let any excess drip off. Discard the remaining marinade.
  5. Place the chicken thighs on the grill and cook for about 6-7 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F and the chicken is nicely charred.
  6. Remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with chopped green onions or parsley if desired.

Notes

  • For a smoky flavor, add a few drops of liquid smoke to the marinade.
