Description
Delicious grilled chicken thighs marinated in a sweet and spicy honey buffalo sauce.
Ingredients
- 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/2 cup hot sauce (such as Frank’s RedHot)
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for extra heat)
- Chopped green onions or parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, whisk together honey, hot sauce, melted butter, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper until well combined.
- Add the chicken thighs to the marinade, ensuring they are fully coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or up to 4 hours for more flavor.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- Remove the chicken from the marinade and let any excess drip off. Discard the remaining marinade.
- Place the chicken thighs on the grill and cook for about 6-7 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F and the chicken is nicely charred.
- Remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with chopped green onions or parsley if desired.
Notes
- For a smoky flavor, add a few drops of liquid smoke to the marinade.
- Serve with a side of coleslaw or grilled vegetables for a complete meal.
