  • Yield: 8 sticks

Description

Warm, buttery, and bursting with gooey cheese, these ham and cheese sticks are a must-try. Perfect for parties, quick lunches, or a satisfying snack, this recipe combines deli-sliced ham, cheddar cheese, and crescent dough, topped with a flavorful glaze for a golden, savory treat.

Ingredients

  • 2 tubes crescent dough sheets
  • 1 lb. deli-sliced ham
  • 8 cheddar cheese sticks
  • ¼ cup butter, melted
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ Tbsp Dijon mustard
  • ½ Tbsp dried minced onion or onion powder
  • ½ Tbsp poppy seeds

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Unroll the crescent dough sheets and cut each into 4 rectangles, making 8 pieces in total.
  • Lay 1–2 slices of ham on each rectangle, covering the dough evenly.
  • Place a cheddar cheese stick on top of the ham.
  • Roll each rectangle from the short end into a log, ensuring the edges are tightly sealed.
  • In a bowl, mix melted butter, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, dried minced onion, and poppy seeds.
  • Brush the butter glaze generously over the top of each roll.
  • Arrange the rolls on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Bake for 15–20 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.
  • Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, sprinkle shredded cheese on top before baking.
  • Seal the edges of the dough tightly to prevent cheese from leaking out during baking.
  • These rolls can be made ahead and stored in the fridge for up to 24 hours before baking.
