A delicious and creamy Havarti Avocado Sandwich with a spicy mayo twist, perfect for a quick meal.
Ingredients
- 2 slices of whole grain bread
- 1 ripe avocado
- 4 ounces Havarti cheese, sliced
- 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon sriracha sauce (adjust to taste)
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup fresh spinach leaves
- 1/2 medium tomato, sliced
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, sriracha sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until well combined. Set aside.
- Cut the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a bowl. Mash the avocado with a fork until creamy, adding a pinch of salt and pepper to taste.
- Toast the slices of whole grain bread until golden brown.
- Spread a generous layer of the spicy mayo on one side of each slice of toasted bread.
- On one slice of bread, layer the mashed avocado, followed by the Havarti cheese, spinach leaves, and tomato slices.
- Top with the second slice of bread, mayo side down, and gently press together.
- If desired, cut the sandwich in half and serve immediately.
Notes
- For added crunch, include sliced cucumbers or pickles in the sandwich.
- Substitute the Havarti cheese with pepper jack for a spicier kick or use a dairy-free cheese for a vegan option.
