Ingredients
- 2 medium russet potatoes, peeled and shredded
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup grated mozzarella cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried onion flakes
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon avocado oil (for cooking)
Instructions
- Begin by heating your waffle iron to the desired temperature as per the manufacturer’s guidelines.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded potatoes, egg, mozzarella cheese, garlic powder, dried onion flakes, sea salt, and black pepper. Stir until everything is evenly mixed together.
- Brush the waffle iron plates with avocado oil to prevent sticking.
- Take half of the potato mixture and place it in the center of the preheated waffle iron, gently spreading it out. Close the lid and let it cook for approximately 5-7 minutes, or until the waffle is crispy and has a beautiful golden hue.
- Once done, carefully lift the waffle out and set it aside. Repeat the process with the remaining potato mixture.
- Enjoy your crispy potato waffles right away, garnished with your choice of toppings or sauces.
