Description

This honey garlic salmon recipe is a perfect balance of sweet, savory, and tangy flavors. With a rich, buttery glaze and a flaky texture, it’s a restaurant-quality dish made right at home in under 30 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
  • 3 tbsp melted butter
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish)
  • Optional: Lemon slices for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
  2. Prepare Salmon: Place the fillets skin-side down on the baking sheet.
  3. Make the Glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together melted butter, honey, garlic, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  4. Coat the Salmon: Brush the glaze generously over each fillet.
  5. Bake: Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
  6. Broil for Extra Caramelization: Optional – broil for an additional 2-3 minutes for a deeper color and caramelized glaze.
  7. Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve with lemon slices.

Notes

  • For Crispy Skin: If you prefer crispy skin, sear the salmon in a pan over medium-high heat for 2-3 minutes before baking.
  • Avoid Overcooking: Salmon continues cooking after removal from the oven, so take it out slightly before it reaches 145°F.
  • Storage Tips: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
