Ingredients
- 2 large round bread rolls (such as brioche or kaiser rolls)
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, 2 tablespoons of butter, minced garlic, parsley, sugar, salt, black pepper, onion powder, and dried oregano. Mix until well combined.
- Slice the bread rolls in half horizontally, making sure not to cut all the way through.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture generously inside each bread roll.
- In a small bowl, mix the remaining 2 tablespoons of softened butter with the shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Spoon the mozzarella mixture over the cream cheese filling in each roll.
- If desired, sprinkle sesame seeds on top for added texture.
- Place the filled bread rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- For a spicy kick, add a teaspoon of red pepper flakes to the cream cheese mixture.
- Try using different types of cheese, such as cheddar or pepper jack, for a unique flavor twist.
