Ingredients

  • 2 large round bread rolls (such as brioche or kaiser rolls)
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, 2 tablespoons of butter, minced garlic, parsley, sugar, salt, black pepper, onion powder, and dried oregano. Mix until well combined.
  3. Slice the bread rolls in half horizontally, making sure not to cut all the way through.
  4. Spread the cream cheese mixture generously inside each bread roll.
  5. In a small bowl, mix the remaining 2 tablespoons of softened butter with the shredded mozzarella cheese.
  6. Spoon the mozzarella mixture over the cream cheese filling in each roll.
  7. If desired, sprinkle sesame seeds on top for added texture.
  8. Place the filled bread rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  10. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
