Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1 3/4 cups whole milk
- 1/2 cup canola oil
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Instructions
- Warm up your waffle iron as per the manufacturer’s guidelines.
- In a spacious bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt, whisking them together until evenly mixed.
- In a separate bowl, crack the eggs and whisk them lightly, then incorporate the milk, canola oil, and vanilla extract, stirring until smooth.
- Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients, folding gently until just combined; small lumps in the batter are fine.
- Lightly coat the waffle iron with cooking spray or a brush of oil.
- Pour the batter onto the preheated waffle iron, using about 1 cup or as directed by your appliance.
- Close the lid and cook for about 4-5 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Carefully lift the waffles out and serve hot with your choice of toppings.
