Description

A delicious and easy-to-make Basque cheesecake baked in a loaf pan, featuring a creamy texture and a golden brown top.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a 9×5 inch loaf pan with parchment paper, allowing some overhang for easy removal later.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and granulated sugar together until smooth and creamy, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add the heavy cream, eggs, vanilla extract, flour, and salt to the bowl. Mix until fully combined and the batter is smooth, scraping down the sides as needed.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is deeply golden brown and the center is slightly jiggly.
  6. Remove from the oven and let the cheesecake cool in the pan for about 15 minutes. Then, use the parchment overhang to lift it out and transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
  7. Once cooled, refrigerate the cheesecake for at least 4 hours or overnight for the best texture.
  8. Slice and serve chilled or at room temperature.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, add a tablespoon of lemon juice or zest to the batter.
  • Top with fresh berries or a drizzle of chocolate sauce before serving for an extra touch.
