Description
A delicious and easy-to-make Basque cheesecake baked in a loaf pan, featuring a creamy texture and a golden brown top.
Ingredients
- 2 cups cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a 9×5 inch loaf pan with parchment paper, allowing some overhang for easy removal later.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and granulated sugar together until smooth and creamy, about 2-3 minutes.
- Add the heavy cream, eggs, vanilla extract, flour, and salt to the bowl. Mix until fully combined and the batter is smooth, scraping down the sides as needed.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is deeply golden brown and the center is slightly jiggly.
- Remove from the oven and let the cheesecake cool in the pan for about 15 minutes. Then, use the parchment overhang to lift it out and transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Once cooled, refrigerate the cheesecake for at least 4 hours or overnight for the best texture.
- Slice and serve chilled or at room temperature.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, add a tablespoon of lemon juice or zest to the batter.
- Top with fresh berries or a drizzle of chocolate sauce before serving for an extra touch.
