Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder

- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup fresh lemon juice (about 4 lemons)
- Zest of 1 lemon
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar (for dusting)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter or non-stick spray.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
- In another bowl, mix the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Gradually add this mixture to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish. Do not stir.
- In a separate bowl, combine the fresh lemon juice and lemon zest. Pour this mixture evenly over the batter in the baking dish. Again, do not stir.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the edges are bubbling.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool for about 10 minutes. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.

- For a creamier texture, serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream on top.
