Description

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe mangoes, peeled and diced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 packet (1/4 ounce) unflavored gelatin (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons water (if using gelatin)

Instructions

  1. In a blender, combine the diced mangoes, sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract, lime juice, and salt. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  2. If using gelatin, sprinkle it over 2 tablespoons of water in a small bowl and let it sit for about 5 minutes to bloom. Then, heat the mixture in the microwave for about 10-15 seconds until dissolved. Stir the dissolved gelatin into the mango mixture.
  3. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form.
  4. Gently fold the whipped cream into the mango mixture until fully combined, being careful not to deflate the cream.
  5. Spoon the mousse into individual serving dishes or a large bowl.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours to set before serving.
