Description
A flavorful marinated salmon dish infused with garlic and fresh herbs, perfect for grilling or baking.
Ingredients
- 2 (6-ounce) salmon fillets
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped (or 1 teaspoon dried dill)
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, dill, parsley, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes until well combined.
- Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish or a resealable plastic bag. Pour the marinade over the salmon, ensuring it is well coated. Cover the dish or seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.
- Preheat your grill or oven to 400°F. If grilling, oil the grill grates to prevent sticking.
- Remove the salmon from the marinade and discard the leftover marinade.
- If grilling, place the salmon skin-side down on the grill and cook for about 6-8 minutes per side, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork. If baking, place the salmon on a lined baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until cooked through.
- Serve the salmon warm, garnished with additional fresh herbs if desired.
Notes
- For a citrus twist, add the zest of one lemon or orange to the marinade.
- Serve the salmon over a bed of mixed greens or alongside roasted vegetables for a complete meal.
