Description
A delicious and easy recipe for Orange Glazed Salmon that combines the sweetness of orange with savory flavors.
Ingredients
- 4 salmon fillets (6 ounces each)
- 1 cup fresh orange juice
- 1 tablespoon orange zest
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
- Sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with cooking spray.
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the orange juice, orange zest, honey, soy sauce, olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Bring the mixture to a simmer, stirring occasionally. Let it simmer for about 5-7 minutes, or until it thickens slightly. Remove from heat.
- Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet, skin side down. Brush the fillets generously with the orange glaze, reserving some for later.
- Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
- During the last 2 minutes of baking, brush the salmon with the reserved glaze for extra flavor.
- Remove the salmon from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes. Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add a teaspoon of red pepper flakes to the glaze.
- For a side dish, serve the salmon with steamed broccoli or a mixed green salad drizzled with a light vinaigrette.
