A refreshing Passion Fruit Iced Tea recipe perfect for hot days.
Ingredients
- 2 cups water
- 4 black tea bags
- 1 cup passion fruit juice (fresh or bottled)
- 1/2 cup sugar (adjust to taste)
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
- Ice cubes
- Fresh mint leaves (for garnish)
- Lemon slices (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Once boiling, remove from heat and add the black tea bags. Let steep for 5 minutes, then remove the tea bags and allow the tea to cool to room temperature.
- In a large pitcher, combine the cooled tea, passion fruit juice, sugar, and lemon juice. Stir well until the sugar is fully dissolved.
- Refrigerate the mixture for at least 1 hour to chill.
- To serve, fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the passion fruit iced tea over the ice.
- Garnish each glass with fresh mint leaves and lemon slices.
Notes
- For a sweeter version, add more sugar or a splash of simple syrup.
- Try substituting green tea for black tea for a lighter flavor, or use herbal tea for a caffeine-free option.
