Description

Philly Cheesesteak Pasta is the ultimate fusion of two beloved comfort foods—tender steak, sautéed bell peppers and onions, and a creamy, cheesy sauce all tossed with pasta. This easy-to-make dish is perfect for family dinners, meal prep, or an indulgent treat that brings bold flavors to every bite.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz elbow noodles
  • 1 lb thinly sliced steak (ribeye or sirloin)
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 cups sliced mushrooms
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups shredded provolone cheese
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta:
    • Boil elbow noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Sear the Steak:
    • Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
    • Add the thinly sliced steak, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned.
    • Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Sauté the Vegetables:
    • In the same skillet, heat the remaining olive oil.
    • Sauté the bell pepper, onion, and mushrooms until tender and caramelized (about 5-7 minutes).
    • Add the minced garlic in the last 1-2 minutes.
  4. Make the Sauce:
    • Return the cooked steak to the skillet.
    • Pour in the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and heavy cream.
    • Simmer for about 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Combine Everything:
    • Stir in the cooked pasta, ensuring it is well coated.
    • Add the shredded provolone cheese and mix until melted and smooth.
  6. Serve and Enjoy:
    • Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.
    • Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.

Notes

  • Storage: Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
  • Reheating: Warm on the stove over low heat with a splash of broth or cream.
  • Customization Ideas:
    • Swap steak for chicken or tofu.
    • Add jalapeños or red pepper flakes for spice.
    • Serve with garlic bread or a fresh green salad.
