This quick and indulgent dish features crispy bacon, a silky egg-based sauce, and a touch of gochujang for subtle heat, all coating chewy ramen noodles. Whether you’re craving comfort food or an impressive meal with minimal effort, this dish is ready in just 20 minutes!

Ingredients

  • 1 pack ramen noodles
  • ½ tsp ramen seasoning (optional)
  • 2 strips bacon, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 whole egg + 1 egg yolk
  • ¼ cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • ½ tsp gochujang (Korean chili paste)
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp reserved ramen cooking water
  • Chives, finely chopped (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)
  • Optional: 1 extra egg yolk for serving

Instructions

  • Prepare the Sauce
    • In a bowl, whisk together the whole egg, egg yolk, parmesan, gochujang, and black pepper until smooth.
  • Cook the Bacon and Garlic
    • In a pan over medium heat, cook chopped bacon until crispy.
    • Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant. Remove from heat.
  • Cook the Ramen
    • Boil ramen noodles according to package instructions.
    • Reserve 2 tablespoons of the ramen water before draining.
  • Combine Everything
    • Toss the hot ramen noodles in the pan with bacon and garlic.
    • Slowly pour in the egg mixture while stirring vigorously to create a creamy sauce.
    • Add reserved ramen water gradually to loosen the sauce as needed.
  • Serve & Garnish
    • Plate the ramen and top with extra parmesan, chives, sesame seeds, and an optional raw egg yolk.
    • Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • Remove the pan from heat before adding the egg mixture to prevent scrambling.
  • Adjust gochujang quantity for a milder or spicier flavor.
  • Use high-quality parmesan for the best creamy texture.
  • For a vegetarian version, replace bacon with mushrooms or smoked tofu.
