Scoop of Heaven Trifle is a delightful layered dessert featuring vanilla pudding, angel food cake, fresh fruits, and whipped cream, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
- 2 cups vanilla pudding mix
- 4 cups milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 pound angel food cake, cut into cubes
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
- 2 cups fresh blueberries
- 2 cups whipped cream (store-bought or homemade)
- 1/2 cup chocolate shavings (optional)
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the vanilla pudding mix, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth and thickened, about 2 minutes. Let it sit for 5 minutes to set further.
- In a large trifle dish or a glass bowl, layer half of the angel food cake cubes on the bottom.
- Spoon half of the vanilla pudding mixture over the cake cubes, spreading it evenly.
- Add half of the sliced strawberries and half of the blueberries on top of the pudding layer.
- Spread half of the whipped cream over the fruit layer, smoothing it out gently.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining angel food cake, pudding, strawberries, blueberries, and whipped cream.
- If desired, sprinkle chocolate shavings on top for added decoration.
- Cover the trifle with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
Notes
- For a tropical twist, substitute the strawberries and blueberries with diced mango and kiwi.
- You can also use a different flavor of pudding, such as chocolate or banana, for a unique variation.
