Description

This creamy, cheesy, and garlicky Shrimp Scampi Pasta Bake is the ultimate comfort food, combining juicy shrimp, rich butter sauce, and melted cheese in a perfectly baked dish!

Ingredients

  • 12 oz linguine or spaghetti
  • 1 lb large shrimp (peeled & deveined)
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 cup white wine or chicken broth
  • 1 lemon (juiced & zested)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Salt & black pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a large baking dish with butter or non-stick spray.

2. Cook the Pasta

  • Boil salted water and cook the linguine or spaghetti according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

3. Sauté the Garlic & Shrimp

  • In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Sauté minced garlic and red pepper flakes for 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Add the shrimp and cook for 3-4 minutes until pink and opaque. Remove shrimp and set aside.

4. Make the Creamy Sauce

  • Deglaze the pan with white wine or chicken broth, simmering for 2 minutes.
  • Stir in lemon juice, zest, and heavy cream. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes until thickened.

5. Combine the Pasta with Sauce

  • Toss cooked pasta in the creamy sauce, seasoning with salt and black pepper.

6. Assemble the Dish

  • Transfer pasta to the baking dish. Layer cooked shrimp on top.
  • Sprinkle Parmesan and mozzarella cheese over the pasta.

7. Bake the Pasta

  • Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes, until the cheese is golden and bubbly.

8. Garnish and Serve

  • Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh parsley. Serve immediately with extra Parmesan and lemon wedges.

Notes

  • Use fresh shrimp: Fresh shrimp provides better texture and flavor.
  • Avoid overcooking shrimp: Shrimp should be just pink when removed from the pan.
  • Don’t overcook pasta: The pasta will cook further in the oven, so make sure it’s al dente.
  • Extra crunch: Add breadcrumbs on top before baking for added texture.
  • Adjust spice: Omit or reduce red pepper flakes if you prefer a milder dish.
