Description

Delicious Strawberry Cheesecake Cinnabon Rolls that combine the flavors of cheesecake and cinnamon rolls, perfect for dessert or a sweet breakfast treat.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons instant yeast
  • 1/2 cup whole milk, warmed to about 110°F
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • For the filling:
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, diced
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • For the icing:
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, salt, and instant yeast. Mix well.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the warmed milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. While the dough is rising, prepare the filling by mixing the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, diced strawberries, and cornstarch in a bowl until well combined.
  6. Once the dough has risen, roll it out on a floured surface into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick. Spread the cream cheese filling evenly over the dough.
  7. Roll the dough tightly from the long side into a log. Cut the log into 12 equal pieces.
  8. Place the rolls in a greased baking dish, cover with a towel, and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  9. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Bake the rolls for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. While the rolls are baking, prepare the icing by mixing the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract in a small bowl until smooth.
  11. Once the rolls are done, drizzle the icing over the warm rolls and serve.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, add a teaspoon of lemon zest to the cream cheese filling.
  • You can substitute the strawberries with blueberries or raspberries for a different fruit flavor.
