Instructions
- Preheat the Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F.
- Place a pizza stone or baking sheet inside to preheat for a crispier crust.
- Roll Out the Dough:
- On a floured surface, roll the pizza dough into a large rectangle (approximately 18″x12″).
- Ensure even thickness for consistent baking.
- Season the Dough:
- Brush olive oil evenly over the dough.
- Sprinkle garlic powder, Italian seasoning, crushed red pepper flakes, and ¼ cup Parmesan cheese across the surface.
- Layer the Fillings:
- Start with overlapping slices of ham, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges.
- Add a layer of mozzarella slices, followed by pepperoni, provolone, and salami.
- Sprinkle dried oregano over the fillings for extra flavor.
- Roll the Stromboli:
- Starting from the long edge closest to you, tightly roll the dough over the fillings.
- Pinch the seams and tuck in the ends to seal the roll completely.
- Prepare for Baking:
- Transfer the Stromboli seam-side down onto a sheet of parchment paper.
- Brush with egg wash (mix 1 egg white and 1 tablespoon water).
- Cut 3–4 small slits on top to release steam.
- Sprinkle the remaining Parmesan cheese over the top.
- Bake:
- Place the Stromboli on the preheated pizza stone or baking sheet.
- Bake for 25 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and cooked through.
- Rest and Serve:
- Let the Stromboli cool for 10–15 minutes to set the fillings.
- Slice into 1–2 inch pieces and serve with warm marinara or pizza sauce for dipping.
Notes
- Refrigerate the dough if it becomes too warm or sticky while working.
- Avoid overfilling to prevent leaks during baking.
