Ingredients
- 2 large ripe tomatoes, sliced
- 8 ounces fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
- 1 cup fresh basil leaves
- 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- On a large serving platter, alternate layers of tomato slices and mozzarella slices, slightly overlapping them.
- Tuck fresh basil leaves between the layers of tomatoes and mozzarella.
- Drizzle the extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar over the salad.
- Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
