Description

Juicy and flavorful, this summer grilled citrus chicken is perfect for backyard barbecues or a quick weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup fresh orange juice
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the olive oil, orange juice, lemon juice, honey, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, oregano, paprika, and red pepper flakes until well combined.
  2. Add the chicken breasts to the marinade, making sure they are fully coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or up to 4 hours for more flavor.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Remove the chicken from the marinade and let any excess drip off. Discard the remaining marinade.
  5. Place the chicken on the grill and cook for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  6. Remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
  7. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve with your favorite sides.

Notes

  • For added flavor, try marinating the chicken overnight.
  • You can also substitute lime juice for a different citrus twist.
  • Serve with grilled vegetables or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
