Description
Juicy and flavorful, this summer grilled citrus chicken is perfect for backyard barbecues or a quick weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
- 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup fresh orange juice
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, whisk together the olive oil, orange juice, lemon juice, honey, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, oregano, paprika, and red pepper flakes until well combined.
- Add the chicken breasts to the marinade, making sure they are fully coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or up to 4 hours for more flavor.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- Remove the chicken from the marinade and let any excess drip off. Discard the remaining marinade.
- Place the chicken on the grill and cook for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
- Remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve with your favorite sides.
Notes
- For added flavor, try marinating the chicken overnight.
- You can also substitute lime juice for a different citrus twist.
- Serve with grilled vegetables or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
