- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (optional)
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
- 2 tablespoons water (optional, for thickening)
Instructions
- Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of the crockpot.
- In a bowl, mix together the Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ sauce, chicken broth, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt.
- Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken in the crockpot, ensuring the chicken is well coated.
- If using, drizzle olive oil over the top for added flavor and moisture.
- Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
- If you prefer a thicker sauce, mix the cornstarch with water in a small bowl until smooth, then stir it into the sauce in the crockpot during the last 30 minutes of cooking.
- Once cooked, shred the chicken with two forks and stir it into the sauce before serving.
Notes
- For added flavor, try marinating the chicken in the BBQ sauce overnight before cooking.
