Description

These Velvety White Chocolate Brownies are a luxurious dessert that brings a rich, creamy white chocolate flavor to life. With a fudgy texture and a smooth, buttery finish, they’re perfect for special occasions, a sweet treat for guests, or simply indulging yourself. This easy-to-follow recipe guarantees bakery-quality results in the comfort of your home. Let’s get baking!

Ingredients

For the Brownies:

  • 8 oz (226 g) premium white chocolate bars, chopped (Lindt or Ghirardelli recommended)
  • ½ cup (113 g) unsalted butter
  • 1¼ cups (250 g) granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 tbsp (15 ml) vanilla extract
  • 1¾ cups (219 g) all-purpose flour (spooned and leveled)
  • ¾ tsp salt

Instructions

  • Preheat and Prepare the Pan

    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8-inch square baking pan and line it with parchment paper, allowing the edges to overhang for easy removal.
  • Melt the White Chocolate and Butter

    • In a heatproof bowl, combine the chopped white chocolate and butter.
    • Melt the mixture over a double boiler or microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring between each burst, until smooth and glossy. Let it cool slightly.
  • Prepare the Wet Ingredients

    • In a large mixing bowl, whisk the eggs, egg yolks, and granulated sugar until pale and frothy, about 2–3 minutes.
    • Stir in the vanilla extract, then slowly add the melted white chocolate and butter mixture. Mix until fully combined.
  • Incorporate the Dry Ingredients

    • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour and salt. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. The batter will be thick, so avoid overmixing to maintain the fudgy texture.
  • Bake the Brownies

    • Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly with a spatula.
    • Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Avoid overbaking for the perfect texture.
  • Cool and Slice

    • Let the brownies cool completely in the pan before lifting them out using the parchment paper overhang.
    • Slice into squares or rectangles, serve, and enjoy!

Notes

  1. Use High-Quality White Chocolate: Premium white chocolate bars (like Lindt or Ghirardelli) melt better and deliver a richer flavor compared to white chocolate chips.
  2. Measure Flour Correctly: Avoid overpacking flour by spooning it into the measuring cup and leveling it with a knife.
  3. Cool Completely: Let the brownies cool fully before slicing to ensure clean, even cuts.
  4. Add-Ins: Stir in macadamia nuts, dried cranberries, or white chocolate chunks for extra flavor and texture.
  5. Don’t Overmix: Overmixing the batter can lead to dense brownies. Stir until just combined.
