- 60g of parmesan cheese (grated)
- 2 cherry tomatoes, sliced
- 6 eggs
- Fresh dill (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Lightly grease a baking dish with vegetable oil to prevent sticking.
- Prepare the Bread Base: Arrange the toasted bread slices evenly in the baking dish, creating a sturdy base.
- Add Cheese and Protein/Vegetables: Top each slice of toast with a slice of cheddar cheese. Then, add a slice of chicken, ham, or your choice of vegetables.
- Sprinkle Parmesan and Tomatoes: Distribute the grated parmesan cheese evenly over the protein or veggies. Top with cherry tomato slices for added flavor and a burst of color.
- Crack the Eggs: Carefully crack an egg onto each slice of bread, ensuring the yolk remains intact.
- Bake the Dish: Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 15–20 minutes, depending on how you like your eggs (runny or firm yolks).
- Garnish and Serve: Remove the dish from the oven and garnish with fresh dill. Serve immediately and enjoy the delicious layers of flavors.
Notes
- Use fresh eggs and quality bread for the best results.
- For a vegetarian option, use grilled zucchini or eggplant instead of chicken or ham.
- To add a kick of spice, sprinkle a pinch of chili flakes over the eggs before baking.
