Ingredients
For the Chocolate Pie Crust:
- 24 regular Oreos (not double-stuffed)
- 5 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
For the Peanut Butter Filling:
- 1 cup whipping cream
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup creamy peanut butter
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Optional Toppings:
- ½ cup chopped peanuts
- ¼ cup chocolate syrup
- ¼ cup butterscotch syrup
Instructions
1. Make the Chocolate Pie Crust:
- Crush the Oreos into fine crumbs using a food processor or place them in a sealed plastic bag and crush with a rolling pin.
- In a medium bowl, mix the crushed Oreos with the melted butter until the crumbs resemble wet sand.
- Firmly press the mixture into the bottom and sides of a 9-inch pie dish, using the back of a spoon or flat end of a measuring cup.
- Refrigerate the crust while you make the filling.
2. Prepare the Peanut Butter Filling:
- In a large mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream and 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar with an electric mixer until stiff peaks form. Set aside.
- In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, creamy peanut butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
- Gently fold the whipped cream into the peanut butter mixture, mixing just until combined. Be careful not to overmix to keep the filling light and fluffy.
3. Assemble the Pie:
- Pour the peanut butter filling into the prepared Oreo crust, smoothing the top with a spatula.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or freeze for 1–2 hours to speed up the setting process.
4. Add the Toppings:
- Before serving, sprinkle the top of the pie with chopped peanuts for a crunchy texture.
- Drizzle chocolate syrup and butterscotch syrup over the pie for a decadent finish.
5. Serve and Enjoy:
- Slice the pie into even portions and serve chilled. Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
