Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 8 oz egg noodles
- 3 tbsp butter
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook the Chicken
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
- Place the chicken in the skillet and cook for 5–6 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F). Remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside.
- Prepare the Noodles
- In the same skillet, add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds, until fragrant.
- Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine. Bring to a gentle simmer.
- Add the egg noodles, cover the skillet, and cook for 8–10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the noodles are tender and have absorbed most of the creamy broth.
- Combine and Finish
- Stir in butter and grated Parmesan cheese, letting them melt and create a creamy sauce.
- Return the cooked chicken breasts to the skillet, nestling them into the noodles. Let the chicken heat through for 2–3 minutes.
- Garnish and Serve
- Sprinkle freshly chopped parsley over the dish for added color and flavor. Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
- Use High-Quality Ingredients: Fresh chicken, quality Parmesan, and real heavy cream make this dish extra flavorful.
- Don’t Overcook the Chicken: To keep it tender and juicy, cook the chicken just until it reaches 165°F.
- Stir the Noodles Frequently: This prevents the noodles from sticking and ensures even cooking.
