 - ¼ teaspoon dried basil

 - Shredded mozzarella cheese, for garnish

Instructions
- Cook the Sausage and Vegetables
Heat a large pot over medium heat. Add the Italian sausage, chopped onion, and green pepper. Cook until the sausage is browned and crumbled, stirring occasionally. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper. Drain any excess grease. - Add the Sauce and Liquids
