Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Start by boiling 1/2 cup of water in a kettle. Once boiling, steep black tea for 3-5 minutes, then cool.
  2. In boiling water, cook 1/3 cup of tapioca pearls for 5-7 minutes, then drain and soak in brown sugar syrup.
  3. Mash 1/2 cup of fresh raspberries in a bowl until juicy, reserving some for garnish.
  4. In a glass, combine cooled black tea and raspberry mash. Stir in brown sugar syrup, ice cubes, and sparkling water.
  5. Add the cooked boba pearls to the glass.
  6. For appearance, mix in black food coloring and garnish with raspberries and a lemon/lime slice. Serve immediately.
