Preparation Steps
- Start by boiling 1/2 cup of water in a kettle. Once boiling, steep black tea for 3-5 minutes, then cool.
- In boiling water, cook 1/3 cup of tapioca pearls for 5-7 minutes, then drain and soak in brown sugar syrup.
- Mash 1/2 cup of fresh raspberries in a bowl until juicy, reserving some for garnish.
- In a glass, combine cooled black tea and raspberry mash. Stir in brown sugar syrup, ice cubes, and sparkling water.
- Add the cooked boba pearls to the glass.
- For appearance, mix in black food coloring and garnish with raspberries and a lemon/lime slice. Serve immediately.
